Overview
micro1 is looking for 10,000 VFX Artists and 3D Animators for a remote AI video annotation project. The work focuses on reviewing video sessions of robotic arms completing real-world tasks and turning those observations into precise training data for AI systems. This is not a traditional animation, rendering, or asset-creation assignment.
Scope of Work
- Review video footage of robotic arms performing tasks using the customer’s annotation and grading guidelines.
- Identify and label motion, object interactions, spatial changes, task outcomes, errors, and other important events in each segment.
- Use knowledge of animation, transforms, trajectories, timing, occlusion, and physical behavior to interpret activity accurately.
- Work in dedicated annotation tools to tag video content consistently and precisely.
- Flag anomalies, tracking challenges, and ambiguous moments, and add concise notes when needed.
- Support quality control by reviewing annotations and giving feedback when requested.
- Complete assigned batches accurately and within required deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in visual effects, 3D animation, motion graphics, technical art, computer graphics, or a related area.
- Strong understanding of motion, timing, spatial relationships, object tracking, occlusion, and visual continuity.
- Familiarity with tools such as Blender, Maya, Houdini, Cinema 4D, Nuke, or After Effects.
- Ability to notice subtle motion changes, visual artifacts, and inconsistencies.
- Clear written communication skills for describing visual observations and edge cases.
- Experience with video annotation, visual QA, computer vision datasets, AI training projects, or robotics is helpful but not required.
