Overview
micro1 is engaging Robotics Experts for a remote video annotation project focused on robotic systems. This is a contractor role with 10,000 openings. The work centers on reviewing footage of robotic arms performing tasks, labeling what happens in each session, and using robotics knowledge to judge whether the robot completed the task correctly.
What You'll Do
- Watch video recordings of robotic arms performing tasks and annotate them according to detailed guidelines.
- Tag actions, events, and errors in each video session, including the start and end of each action.
- Assess whether the robot completed the task correctly.
- Label failures such as missed grasps, dropped objects, poor paths, or inaccurate positioning.
- Apply the same labeling rules consistently across sessions to keep the dataset uniform.
- Flag unclear or borderline cases to project managers instead of guessing.
- Use robotics knowledge to explain what went wrong when a robot fails.
- Suggest improvements to the annotation guidelines when you notice repeated confusion or gaps.
- Complete assigned annotation volume on time and at the required quality level.
Requirements
- Background in robotics, mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience with robotic arms or robotic systems in industry, research, or lab settings.
- Solid understanding of robot motion control, grasping, perception, and sensors.
- Ability to distinguish correct and faulty robot behavior by watching footage.
- Comfort following written technical guidelines precisely.
- Clear written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
- Previous video annotation or data labeling experience is a plus, but not required.
