Overview
micro1 is seeking Subject Matter Expert – Medicine & Biostatistics Chart Analysis professionals for a remote contractor project supporting a customer’s AI training and evaluation work. The role focuses on advanced medical and biostatistical chart interpretation, with no prior AI experience required.

What You'll Do
- Interpret complex medical and biostatistical charts such as Kaplan-Meier curves, forest plots, ROC curves, hazard-ratio plots, and related clinical or epidemiological visualizations.
- Write clear, objective, multi-step analytical questions based on dense visual data.
- Provide precise answers with step-by-step explanations in expert-level written English.
- Use accurate medical and biostatistical terminology, including units, scales, confidence intervals, p-values, and chart annotations.
- Create reasoning tasks that emphasize graphical interpretation, comparisons, calculations, trend analysis, and data interpolation while avoiding subjective or ambiguous wording.
- Collaborate remotely with project teams and incorporate feedback through written and verbal communication.
- Produce verifiable reasoning assignments that support AI model training and evaluation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Medicine, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a closely related clinical or quantitative field.
- Two or more years of experience interpreting clinical trial data, survival analyses, or epidemiological visualizations.
- Strong ability to read and explain axes, legends, units, scales, confidence intervals, and statistical annotations in medical charts.
- Ability to communicate analytical processes and biostatistical reasoning clearly in written and spoken English.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and ideally another language relevant to medical or research practice.
- Experience with technical documentation, scientific publishing, assessment or analytical task development, or structured data annotation for clinical, research, or AI-focused projects.
- Background in producing benchmark questions, technical reports, or data annotation tasks for medical, clinical research, or AI model development engagements.
