Overview
micro1 is seeking Subject Matter Experts – Chart & Data Visualization Analysis for a high-impact client project in AI training. This contractor role is focused on helping train next-generation AI systems by contributing high-quality, real-world input. The project includes 50 openings and is well suited to data-driven professionals with strong chart interpretation skills, quantitative reasoning, and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
Contributors with backgrounds in Medicine & Biostatistics, Finance & Economics, Engineering & Physics, Earth Sciences & GIS, Data Science & Statistics, or Operations & Manufacturing are especially encouraged to express interest.
Scope of Work
- Interpret domain-specific charts, graphs, and data visualizations with high accuracy and precise use of terminology.
- Create clear, unambiguous questions that require multi-step quantitative reasoning.
- Develop objectively answerable tasks focused on calculations, comparisons, trend analysis, and deeper reasoning.
- Provide exact answers together with step-by-step explanations of the reasoning and calculation process.
- Use chart-specific terms correctly, including units, axes, scales, legends, confidence intervals, and time periods.
- Collaborate remotely with project coordinators and reviewers through strong written and verbal communication.
- Keep tasks objective, free from subjectivity, and avoid unsupported conclusions or unnecessary complexity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant domain such as Medicine, Finance, Engineering, Earth Science, Data Science, or Operations.
- At least two years of professional, academic, or research experience working with relevant charts or quantitative data.
- Advanced degree, professional credential, or significant industry specialization is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret complex charts with multiple data series, annotations, or statistical features.
- Experience writing technical assessments, benchmark questions, or structured analytical tasks for learning, analytics, or evaluation purposes.
- Ability to write unambiguous, objectively answerable questions and explain calculations clearly in English.
- Experience with remote collaboration and asynchronous communication on technical or research teams.
