About this opportunity

Overview

micro1 is seeking Senior AI Trainers for a customer-driven remote project focused on improving AI system quality through model training and evaluation. This role includes 50 openings and is designed for contributors with hands-on experience using AI products and working with generalist evaluation tasks.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate AI chat and search tools under standardized, repeatable conditions.
  • Use grading guidelines to rank, annotate, and provide structured feedback on model responses.
  • Write, refine, and stress-test prompts to probe model capabilities across different scenarios, edge cases, and user intents.
  • Check consistency and accuracy across evaluations, including resolving mismatches between ratings and the rubric.
  • Use AI training tools and platforms to record findings and submit evaluation datasets according to project standards and milestones.
  • Work with project trainers and contributors to clarify ambiguities, improve guidelines, and support consistent evaluation.
  • Take part in quality reviews and incorporate feedback to maintain annotation standards.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing and evaluating AI-generated content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration, updates, and reporting.
  • Good time management and self-organization for independent remote work.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to evaluation issues.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with AI model training, RLHF, data labeling, or similar data-centric evaluation work.
  • Familiarity with AI products, prompt engineering, and model behavior limitations.
  • Experience writing evaluation rubrics, grading model outputs, or reviewing AI responses for accuracy, helpfulness, and safety.
  • Background in AI training, machine learning data preparation, or LLM-focused projects.
