Overview

micro1 is seeking Reporters & Correspondents for a remote contractor project that focuses on document-driven articles for a customer’s project. The role centers on in-depth research, accurate factual storytelling, and helping train next-generation AI systems with high-quality real-world input. Micro1 notes that no prior AI experience is required and that strong domain knowledge is what matters. There are 50 openings.

Scope of Work

• Analyze public records, reports, and lengthy document sets to identify and distill key findings.
• Verify sources carefully and fact-check content to maintain accuracy and credibility.
• Write well-structured, non-opinion pieces using standard journalistic formats such as the lead and inverted pyramid.
• Produce concise summaries or full-length articles from provided materials.
• Take part in editorial review cycles and revise work based on feedback to improve clarity, structure, and factual consistency.
• Document research methods and citation trails for transparency and future reference.
• Share findings clearly in written and verbal formats while collaborating with project stakeholders as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 4 years of reporting or correspondent experience at a recognized media outlet.
• Experience on document-heavy beats such as investigative journalism, business reporting, or science reporting.
• Strong ability to synthesize large volumes of material into structured narratives.
• Proven track record of source validation, fact-checking, and verifiable reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex topics clearly.
• Familiarity with journalistic standards for transparency, citations, and public-record use.
• Experience working remotely with editorial or project teams is a plus.
