Overview
micro1 is seeking 10 Journalist/Writers for a remote contractor project focused on evaluating advanced AI-generated writing. The work helps train next-generation AI systems by providing high-quality, real-world judgment on written outputs.
What You'll Do
- Review multiple AI-generated responses to writing prompts and compare them for clarity, tone, helpfulness, and adherence to the brief.
- Assign analytical quality scores and write concise rationales explaining your decisions.
- Identify persuasive writing that includes inaccuracies, unsupported claims, or deviations from the prompt.
- Detect factual mistakes, logical inconsistencies, and internal coherence issues.
- Record evaluations using digital content review platforms and project-provided tools.
- Work asynchronously with project managers and reviewers to keep evaluations consistent.
- Complete assigned evaluations independently and within project timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Native or near-native written English fluency, with a university degree completed in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand.
- Professional experience as a journalist, reporter, editor, copy editor, sub-editor, fact-checker, ghostwriter, or published author.
- Background in technical writing, content evaluation, critical analysis, and strong written communication.
- Experience editing or fact-checking work against a style guide or editorial standards.
- Strong judgment for accuracy, clarity, and audience suitability, with careful attention to detail.
- Comfort working independently in a remote setting.
- Experience with annotation, AI model evaluation, or digital content review platforms is a plus.
