Overview
micro1 is seeking Public Safety Communications Dispatcher experts for a high-impact customer project focused on real-time request coordination and routing. This contractor opportunity is designed to help train next-generation AI systems using real-world public safety communications judgment. The role is well suited to dispatchers and coordinators with experience in 911, police, ambulance, emergency, or fire services who are comfortable prioritizing incidents, communicating clearly, and following standardized protocols.
There are 50 openings for this project. Selected experts are expected to begin onboarding and start first tasks within 24–48 hours, and micro1 notes that roles are typically filled within 48 hours.
What You'll Do
- Analyze incoming incident or service requests and determine priority based on established criteria.
- Route requests to the appropriate resources or agencies through simulated radio, phone, or digital chat channels.
- Handle multiple communication channels at once while maintaining composure, accuracy, and timely information flow.
- Apply standardized protocols and checklists to deliver consistent, protocol-driven responses.
- Document scenarios and decision-making steps to support AI training datasets.
- Share input on workflow optimization, escalation procedures, and multi-channel coordination in public safety settings.
- Participate in periodic feedback reviews to improve the quality and relevance of training data.
Requirements
- Experience as a dispatcher or coordinator in a public safety environment such as 911, police, ambulance, emergency, or fire services.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in fast-paced environments.
- Experience using radio, phone, and digital chat communication platforms.
- Understanding of standard operating procedures, checklists, and escalation protocols used in public safety communications.
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and detail-oriented in dynamic scenarios.
- Familiarity with documenting incident details, actions taken, and the reasoning behind decisions.
Compensation
Compensation is output-based and paid per task that meets the project specifications. Minimum submission requirements apply, including a weekly task minimum.
