About this opportunity
Overview
Mercor is hiring a Multimodal Image Expert for a remote hourly contract focused on Image SxS Analysis. In this project, expert raters compare two AI-generated images created from the same prompt, with model identities hidden, and select the stronger result based on quality and prompt fit.
You will also complete a paid onboarding quiz. The quiz pays $20 whether or not you pass; candidates who pass then move on to project tasks at $30 per hour.
What You'll Do
- Review two generated images side by side against the original prompt.
- Choose the better image overall, or indicate that both are good or both are bad.
- Evaluate prompt alignment, visual quality, anatomy and structure, rendered text, and visible artifacts.
- Write a short rationale explaining your decision.
- Apply careful, consistent judgment across tasks.
Requirements
- Fluent English.
- A sharp eye for visual detail.
- Ability to explain reasoning clearly in writing.
- No specialist degree is required.
Contract & Payment Terms
- This is an independent contractor role.
- The role is fully remote and can be completed on your own schedule.
- Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
- Payments are made weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
- Mercor notes that H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not currently supported.
- Mercor states that the work will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
