About this opportunity
Overview
Rex is looking for CAD experts to help train AI systems focused on mechanical design. The work centers on providing detailed input on component and assembly modeling, reviewing mechanical geometry, and helping AI systems produce more accurate CAD-related outputs.
What You'll Do
- Provide detailed input on mechanical design, including part and assembly modeling in professional CAD tools.
- Review geometric models of mechanical assemblies and systems.
- Explain mechanical engineering concepts clearly in writing and speech for AI training.
- Evaluate AI-generated CAD answers and scripts for geometric and engineering correctness.
- Follow project guidelines, participate in calibration and review sessions, and incorporate feedback to maintain quality consistency.
Requirements
- BS or MS in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering.
- Professional experience with CAD modeling.
- Strong understanding of design for manufacture.
- Clear written English.
- Ability to work independently, stay reliable and detail-oriented, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- CSWP or CSWE certification.
- Experience with parametric and assembly modeling at production scale.
- Experience with simulation or scripting.

- The contractor agreement will define ownership and licence terms for the work delivered, to be confirmed by Rex Legal.
