Overview
iMerit is hiring an Independent Contractor (Scholar) for an English Language Specialist - GEN AI role in South Korea. The position is for detail-oriented contributors with strong English proficiency who can support AI/ML work through image evaluation, annotation, and transcription-related tasks with a focus on quality and consistency.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and annotate images using predefined quality standards and project guidelines.
- Identify image quality issues such as blur, noise, poor lighting, incorrect exposure, compression artifacts, and framing errors.
- Follow annotation instructions carefully while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and productivity.
- Flag data quality issues, edge cases, and annotation inconsistencies to the project team.
- Work toward daily productivity and quality targets while respecting project timelines and data security requirements.
- Collaborate with QA teams and project managers to help improve dataset quality over time.
Requirements
- Must be residing in South Korea.
- English proficiency at C1 level or above.
- Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.
- Ability to interpret visual content and describe it accurately in English.
- Prior experience in transcription, annotation, or linguistic work is preferred.
- Access to a laptop or desktop computer and a stable internet connection.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
