Overview

micro1 is engaging Medical Communications Managers for a customer project focused on developing advanced AI-assisted tools for medical communications and healthcare provider (HCP) engagement. This is a remote contractor opportunity with 50 openings. The work uses your domain expertise to help train next-generation AI systems; prior AI experience is not required.

Scope of Work

  • Task authoring and review: Create and evaluate realistic tasks based on medical education modules, advisory board summaries, scientific slide decks, HCP materials, and digital medical web content.
  • Compliance and structural assessment: Assess whether AI-generated medical communications meet scientific accuracy standards, fair-balance expectations, and appropriate framing for HCP versus patient audiences.
  • Narrative and messaging evaluation: Review tone, strategic messaging, clarity, and visual presentation logic in slide decks and educational assets so complex scientific concepts are communicated accurately without oversimplification.
  • Source attribution: Verify claims, infographics, and slide statements against underlying scientific literature, trial data, and clinical summaries to support source fidelity.
  • Structured feedback: Provide clear written feedback that explains strengths and weaknesses to help engineers improve model performance.
  • Framework refinement: Work with project leads to develop benchmarks, quality rubrics, and evaluation frameworks for MedComms content generation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in Medical Communications, Medical Education, or Medical Affairs in an agency, biotech/pharma sponsor, or consultancy setting.
  • Experience creating a range of MedComms deliverables, such as scientific slide decks, advisory board summaries, medical education modules, and web or digital content.
  • Strong understanding of medical affairs strategy, scientific platform alignment, and regulatory/compliance constraints for HCP and patient communications.
  • Ability to review visual and written content holistically, balancing data integrity with audience engagement.
  • Excellent written communication skills with experience giving structured critique and editorial guidance.
  • Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or medicine, or equivalent professional industry experience.
  • Broad therapeutic exposure; oncology, neurology, or cardiology experience is especially desirable.
