Overview
ExpertWoka is sourcing Senior Code Quality Engineers for a short-term contract opportunity. This is not a tester role. The work requires strong software engineering experience, the ability to review and improve production-grade code, and clear technical communication.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, debug, and review production-grade software.
- Identify functional, performance, security, and design issues in complex codebases.
- Provide clear written technical feedback on code quality and maintainability.
- Work collaboratively with engineering workflows, including code reviews.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C++, Go, C#, Ruby, PHP, or Rust.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, clean code, modular architecture, abstraction, error handling, and maintainability.
- Strong debugging, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Git and modern engineering practices.
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, APIs, databases, and application architecture.
- Strong written English and the ability to communicate technical feedback clearly.
- Availability to commit at least 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.
- Ability to overlap with PST for 4 hours.
