Role Overview

Evaluate personalized search and location recommendations, assessing the relevance, usefulness, and visual quality of suggested places based on project guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the aesthetic quality, readability, and overall polish of digital map designs.

• Assess viewport framing, geospatial accuracy, and content relevance.

• Review personalized location recommendations for relevance and usefulness.

• Follow project guidelines and accurately tag specific issues, such as improperly masked icons or labels that are too small.

Requirements

• Must be located in and have the right to work in the United States.

• Must have an existing, actively used Gmail account with prior Google Maps usage.

• Participation is limited to a maximum of three project rounds.

• Task availability is dynamic; eligible candidates will receive notice as soon as possible when a project round becomes available.

Important Information

• Participation requires opt-in, consent-based access to limited elements of your activity history. A consent form will be provided for review and signature before participation.

• A desktop or laptop computer is required for the application and onboarding process. Mobile devices are not supported.

• The project runs on a weekly basis. Eligible candidates will be added to a pool of certified raters and contacted at least 48 hours before kickoff.

Application Process

AI tools may be used to support parts of the hiring process, including application and resume review, response assessment, and identification of potential inconsistencies or verification signals. These tools assist the recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are made by humans.
