Overview
micro1 is seeking 10 Journalist/Writers for a remote contractor project focused on evaluating advanced AI-generated writing. The work helps improve next-generation AI systems by providing high-quality assessments of model outputs. No prior experience in AI is required; the role is centered on your writing and editorial expertise.
Scope of Work
- Review multiple AI-generated responses to writing prompts and compare them for clarity, tone, helpfulness, and adherence to instructions.
- Assign quality scores and write concise, well-reasoned explanations for your evaluations.
- Identify persuasive writing that contains inaccuracies, weak support, or drifts from the brief.
- Check for factual errors, logical inconsistencies, and problems with internal coherence.
- Record evaluations using digital content review platforms and project tools.
- Collaborate asynchronously with project managers and reviewers to keep standards and consistency aligned.
- Work independently and complete assigned evaluations within project timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Native or near-native written English fluency, with a university degree completed in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand.
- Professional experience as a journalist, reporter, editor, copy editor, sub-editor, fact-checker, ghostwriter, or published author.
- Background in technical writing, content evaluation, critical analysis, and strong written communication.
- Experience editing or fact-checking work against a style guide or editorial standards.
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment about accuracy, clarity, and audience fit.
- Comfort working independently in a remote setting.
- Experience with annotation, AI model evaluation, or digital content review platforms is a plus.
