Educator/ Assessor Writer

Overview

micro1 is seeking 10 Educator/ Assessor Writers for a remote contractor engagement supporting advanced AI system development. The work is suited to people with experience evaluating written work against a rubric, reviewing academic writing, or designing effective assessments. No prior AI experience is required.

This role is fully remote and is intended to fit alongside other professional commitments.

Scope of Work

• Review and compare multiple AI-generated written responses for clarity, tone, helpfulness, and compliance with instructions.
• Apply provided rubrics and guidelines to assign quality scores.
• Write clear rationales explaining each score or evaluation.
• Identify content that sounds fluent but is unsupported, or thorough but not practical for the intended audience.
• Spot factual inaccuracies, internal inconsistencies, and issues that affect reliability or usefulness.
• Record findings carefully and maintain thorough documentation of decisions and observations.
• Work asynchronously with project managers and reviewers using digital content review platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Native-level or fully equivalent written English proficiency.
• A completed degree from an accredited institution in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand.
• Experience marking, grading, or examining written work using set criteria or rubrics.
• Background in assessment design, instructional design, peer review, thesis supervision, or academic writing support.
• Ability to make objective, well-supported judgments with strong critical analysis and attention to detail.
• Comfort working independently in a remote setting and meeting project deadlines.
• Experience with model evaluation, RLHF, or annotation is a plus, but not required.
