About this opportunity
Overview
HumanSignal is building a global contributor community for upcoming data annotation initiatives. Contributors help improve datasets used for artificial intelligence and computer vision work by reviewing and refining labeled data. This is an independent contractor engagement, and contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations in their jurisdiction.
Qualified contributors may be invited to projects that match their skills and location. Participation is flexible, and project-specific instructions, examples, and support are provided.
What You’ll Do
- Review and correct labeled data in images or videos.
- Refine bounding boxes around objects or people.
- Adjust segmentation or masking areas within images.
- Identify and mask personally identifiable information when required.
- Check annotations against project guidelines and quality standards.
- Flag unclear or incorrect labels for review.
- Submit completed annotation work through designated tools or platforms.

Requirements
- Must reside in one of the eligible countries listed in the posting.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to follow structured guidelines and quality standards.
- Comfort working independently and managing tasks responsibly.
- Comfort using online tools for reviewing or editing data.
- Previous experience with data annotation, image labeling, or quality review is helpful but not required.
- Training materials may be provided depending on the project.
Compensation
Compensation varies by project and by the country or region where the work is performed. Pay rates are communicated before each project starts and are intended to align with competitive local rates.
