Role Overview

Pareto is hiring an AI Engagement Manager to manage relationships with key AI lab and model-builder accounts. You will work directly with researchers, Technical Program Managers (TPMs), Product Managers and other stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery while managing account health, renewals and expansion opportunities.

This role combines account management, technical solution design and commercial ownership.


Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of key AI lab and model-builder accounts as the primary point of contact.

  • Build and maintain relationships with researchers, PMs, TPMs, vendor operations and procurement stakeholders.

  • Partner with Product, Delivery and Engineering teams to design solutions involving data labeling, evaluations, RLHF and red-teaming workflows.

  • Manage renewals, account expansion, stakeholder alignment and commercial outcomes.

  • Develop and maintain account plans that identify risks, track active use cases and highlight growth opportunities.

  • Coordinate with Sales on account handoffs and work with Delivery teams to provide a coordinated client experience.

  • Share structured customer insights with Product and R&D teams to support roadmap planning.


Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in customer-facing roles involving technical buyers, such as:

    • Engagement Management

    • Strategic Accounts

    • Customer Success

    • Product-adjacent ML or data roles

  • Experience managing complex accounts with multiple stakeholders, preferably within AI labs, model builders or R&D-driven organizations.

  • Working knowledge of ML and data workflows, including data labeling, evaluations, RLHF, red-teaming or related areas.

  • Experience leading solution design and scoping alongside Delivery and Operations teams.

  • Experience owning or co-owning renewals, account expansion and commercial outcomes.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills when working with researchers, PMs, executives and procurement teams.


Preferred Qualifications

  • STEM background or strong technical knowledge in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Machine Learning or Economics.

  • Experience working for an AI data provider, ML infrastructure platform or developer tools company.

  • Existing relationships within the AI/ML ecosystem.

  • Experience working in R&D-driven organizations with changing research priorities.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $150,000–$180,000

  • Equity: Included

  • Final compensation depends on experience and level.

  • Level-specific salary ranges are shared early in the recruitment process.
