Overview
Lionbridge is looking to onboard transcribers for upcoming audio processing work. This is a remote, freelance / independent contractor opportunity focused on transcribing audio into accurate written text, with some projects also including annotation tasks depending on need. The source notes that multiple similar projects are planned throughout 2026, which may create potential for continued work.
What You'll Do
- Transcribe audio files into clear, well-structured text.
- Work with different audio formats, including single-speaker recordings, podcasts, and multi-speaker conversations.
- Identify speakers when applicable.
- Follow project-specific transcription and formatting guidelines.
- For annotation-based tasks, label or tag segments of text or audio as instructed.
- Categorize content based on provided guidelines.
- Support the creation of high-quality training data.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English.
- Good written English skills.
- Strong listening and comprehension skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and task guidelines.
- Previous transcription or annotation experience is a plus, but not required.
