Overview
micro1 is seeking Sound Designers for a remote contractor project supporting AI training and data annotation. The work focuses on audio from video sessions featuring robotic arms completing real-world tasks. No prior AI experience is required; the role relies on domain expertise in sound editing and audio restoration. There are 10,000 openings.
Scope of Work
- Review video sessions and assess the audio component for quality and consistency.
- Edit and annotate audio tracks to support AI training.
- Restore audio by reducing noise, distortion, and other inconsistencies.
- Document specific sounds, events, and anomalies observed in each session.
- Work with project leads and other contributors to align on annotation standards and resolve questions.
- Keep accurate records of edits, annotations, and restoration work for traceability.
- Help improve annotation procedures and project workflows when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sound design, sound editing, or audio restoration.
- Strong ability to notice subtle audio details and inconsistencies.
- Familiarity with digital audio workstations and editing tools.
- Experience with real-world, non-music audio sources is a plus.
- Ability to clearly document observations and collaborate remotely.
- Background in audio data annotation or technical review work is advantageous.
- Comfort working independently in a remote, project-based setup.
