Overview
iMerit is onboarding English Audio Transcribers for an upcoming AI-related project. This is a remote, project-based independent contractor role with volume-based work and deadline-focused delivery. The assignment is based in Thailand and requires strong listening skills, accuracy, and the ability to work within a time-bound environment.
What You'll Do
- Listen to English audio files and transcribe spoken content into text with project-specific formatting and quality standards.
- Review raw audio content such as conversations, calls, and other recordings.
- Identify and assess personally identifiable information, sensitive data, and privacy-related risks in audio.
- Evaluate audio-related AI model outputs for correctness, completeness, relevance, risk classification, and guideline adherence where applicable.
- Apply updated annotation guidelines consistently and use sound judgment on ambiguous content.
- Handle potentially sensitive, unsafe, or policy-sensitive material professionally.
- Manage your own schedule and throughput while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
- Escalate ambiguous cases, tooling issues, guideline gaps, and edge cases to project leads or quality teams.
Requirements
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven, time-bound environment.
- Computer access, good headphones, and stable internet connection.
- Completion of an audio transcription assessment is required before the next HR step.
Nice to Have
- Previous transcription or audio annotation experience.
- Prior experience with US English audio transcription.
