Senior Illustrator / Sketcher / Cartoonist

Overview

We are looking for experienced Illustrators, Sketchers, and Cartoonists for a short-term remote project involving high-quality illustration work across a wide range of artistic styles.

This opportunity is suited to creative professionals who can produce polished, production-ready artwork, accurately work across different visual styles, document their creative decisions, and respond effectively to feedback.

The project is expected to run for 4 weeks, with a full-time commitment of approximately 40 hours per week. Candidates should be available for 8 hours per day, including at least 4 hours of overlap with Pacific Time (PST/PDT).

Start date: ASAP.

What You'll Do

• Create high-quality stylized illustrations based on provided briefs.
• Adapt to and accurately reproduce multiple illustration styles.
• Produce variations while maintaining composition and visual consistency.
• Maintain strong quality across lighting, texture, color, and overall visual output.
• Document prompts, style decisions, and relevant metadata clearly.
• Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently.
• Deliver polished, production-ready creative assets aligned with project requirements.

Style Expertise

Experience in several of the following styles is valuable:

• Sketching and drawing
• Cinematic and film noir
• Steampunk
• Surreal, dreamlike, and psychedelic
• Cyberpunk and science fiction
• Art Deco and Art Nouveau
• Vintage and retro
• Glitch and vaporwave

Tools

Candidates may have experience with tools such as:

• Adobe Photoshop
• Procreate
• Adobe Illustrator
• Affinity Suite
• Clip Studio Paint

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as an illustrator, sketcher, cartoonist, or in a related creative role.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across multiple artistic styles.
• Strong fundamentals in composition, color, lighting, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to illustrate or render scenes, characters, objects, or environments.
• Ability to accurately adapt to and reproduce different visual styles.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and incorporate feedback.
