Overview
micro1 is seeking Mechatronics Engineers for a specialized video annotation project supporting a customer’s advanced robotics initiative. This is a contractor role with 10,000 openings. The work is remote and focused on helping train next-generation AI systems using real-world robotics footage.
What You'll Do
- Review recorded video sessions of robotic arms performing industrial tasks.
- Annotate each session using the provided grading and labeling guidelines.
- Tag, classify, and comment on footage according to project standards.
- Identify, document, and categorize mechanical or control issues observed in the videos.
- Use your understanding of machine movement to explain likely causes of failures or inefficiencies.
- Work with project coordinators when clarification is needed on guidelines or video content.
- Deliver accurate and consistent annotations within the project timeline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional background in Mechatronics Engineering or a closely related field.
- Prior experience with video annotation or data labeling, especially for robotics or industrial automation.
- Ability to recognize and interpret mechanical and control problems in complex machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and a history of producing accurate technical work.
- Understanding of how machines fail and how robotic movement works.
- Experience supporting AI training or machine learning projects is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
