Overview
micro1 is seeking Portuguese Transcription Experts for a remote contractor project supporting audio transcription and AI training. There are 15 openings for this role. The work focuses on high-quality transcription and annotation that helps improve AI system performance using real-world audio input.
What You'll Do
- Transcribe and annotate Portuguese audio, and English audio when needed, with high accuracy.
- Listen to conversational and formal speech and capture content, context, and speaker nuance carefully.
- Review, edit, and validate transcripts for completeness, clarity, and alignment with project guidelines.
- Find and correct errors, inconsistencies, and ambiguities in transcriptions.
- Work with project managers and other experts to keep deliverables consistent and high quality.
- Use transcription tools and platforms to process and submit work according to project requirements.
- Provide linguistic and cultural insight to help improve model understanding and performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Native-level Portuguese fluency with strong spoken and written comprehension.
- Professional audio transcription experience, ideally with relevant project samples or a portfolio.
- Familiarity with transcription conventions, annotation tools, and best practices for audio data capture.
- Strong accuracy and the ability to notice subtle language or context differences in audio.
- English proficiency for occasional English audio and instructions.
- Experience with linguistic data projects or AI training data tasks is a plus.
- Strong organization and a commitment to timely, high-quality submissions.
