Overview
micro1 is looking for Mandarin Transcription Experts to help create high-quality transcriptions from audio samples in Mandarin and English. This is a remote contractor role with 15 openings. The work supports AI training by providing accurate, real-world language data that helps improve how models learn and perform.
Scope of Work
- Listen to Mandarin and English audio recordings and produce accurate, verbatim transcriptions.
- Add tags or contextual notes where the project guidelines call for them.
- Review, proofread, and edit transcripts to maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Follow formatting standards and detailed project instructions throughout the transcription process.
- Work with project coordinators to resolve ambiguous language and clarify unclear content.
- Deliver completed transcriptions on time and within quality expectations.
- Share linguistic insights that support better Mandarin language understanding in AI systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Native-level Mandarin fluency with strong listening and comprehension skills.
- Professional transcription experience, especially with Mandarin audio.
- Strong accuracy and consistency in error-sensitive work.
- Familiarity with transcription tools or platforms.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Bilingual Mandarin-English project experience is a plus.
- Interest in AI training and language technology work.
