Overview
micro1 is seeking accomplished litigation associates for a part-time contractor role at the intersection of law and AI. This remote opportunity is focused on litigation workflows used to train and evaluate advanced AI models, with an emphasis on strong federal court motion practice and practical legal judgment. There are 50 openings.
What You'll Do
- Perform simulated motion drafting, briefing, and litigation strategy exercises.
- Review AI responses to litigation scenarios and provide expert feedback to improve accuracy and precision.
- Help develop objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for litigation-related AI tasks.
- Collaborate with product and research teams to improve data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven litigation support tools.
Requirements
- Substantial experience handling civil matters in federal court, including motion practice, briefing, and case strategy.
- Documented record of at least 3 motions won in federal civil litigation, with supporting materials such as court orders or docket entries.
- Experience with federal court procedure and civil procedure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with careful attention to detail.
- Ability to turn legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems.
- Interest in innovation at the intersection of law and technology.
- Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior exposure to AI, legal tech, or training initiatives.
- Experience across multiple motion types, such as motions to dismiss, summary judgment, and discovery motions.
