About this opportunity

Overview

Toloka is looking for an experienced Freelance Social Media Manager to own the company’s organic social media strategy and execution. The role is focused on building Toloka’s presence across corporate and executive accounts, with content aimed at a highly technical audience that includes AI researchers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, and technology leaders.

This is a hands-on freelance role for someone who can combine strong technical understanding, sharp copywriting, and fast execution in a high-growth environment.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end global social media content calendar across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Reddit, and YouTube.
  • Manage executive social presence and personal branding for key Toloka leaders, writing authentic posts that reflect their voice and expertise.
  • Write concise, engaging social copy that translates technical topics such as RLHF, synthetic data, model evaluation, and fine-tuning into accessible messaging.
  • Engage with developers, technical communities, and industry leaders to encourage discussion, respond to brand mentions, and support community growth.
  • Draft detailed design briefs for the internal visual design team.
  • Create or edit social assets when needed, including pulling video clips from podcasts or webinars and producing quick graphics using tools like Canva.
  • Work closely with the content team to amplify blog posts, whitepapers, event appearances, and product announcements.
  • Track social performance, define engagement benchmarks, and test new formats and messaging approaches.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on social media management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, enterprise tech, or AI.
  • Comfort writing for a highly technical audience such as data scientists, ML engineers, and AI builders.
  • Strong working knowledge of LinkedIn, X, and Reddit; YouTube experience is a plus.
  • Excellent copywriting skills with an ability to produce human, thoughtful, and high-converting content.
  • Experience contributing to or writing for tech blogs, newsletters, or email campaigns is a plus.
  • Ability to write detailed visual design briefs and work with visual or video tools such as Canva, Figma, CapCut, or Premiere.
  • Experience managing C-suite or executive social media accounts and capturing a distinct voice for leadership profiles.
  • Self-directed mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-moving environment.
