CAD Expert – AI Training

Job Description

micro1 is hiring CAD Experts worldwide to apply their domain knowledge to the training and evaluation of next-generation AI systems.

The role focuses on using real-world CAD and manufacturing expertise to review AI-generated content, provide expert feedback, and help develop evaluation standards for manufacturing workflows.

No previous AI experience is required. Your CAD expertise is the primary qualification.

What You’ll Do

• Provide expert feedback on manufacturing processes and techniques using hands-on CAD experience.
• Review and refine AI-generated content and recommendations related to manufacturing workflows.
• Evaluate the accuracy and usefulness of AI outputs.
• Develop and validate detailed evaluation rubrics for manufacturing processes.
• Apply practical CAD knowledge to help improve how AI systems reason about real-world manufacturing tasks.
• Contribute expertise in CAM and CNC workflows where applicable.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with at least one CAD platform, such as Fusion 360, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Onshape, Inventor, CATIA, or Creo.
• Strong understanding of CAD workflows and processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide clear, detailed technical feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Autodesk tools, particularly Fusion 360 or AutoCAD.
• Experience with CAM, CNC machining, or digital manufacturing workflows.
• Python proficiency is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with LLMs, generative design, or other AI-assisted tools.
• Experience developing or applying process-evaluation rubrics.
