Overview
Mercor is hiring an AI Chat Generalist to help evaluate AI assistants on realistic everyday tasks. In this role, you will interact with an AI assistant over multiple turns, guide it when needed, and assess the quality of its responses against a professional standard. The schedule is flexible, remote, and approximately 10 hours per week.
What You'll Do
- Write short, realistic prompts that reflect how a real user would ask for help.
- Work through tasks with the assistant across several turns.
- Steer the conversation, answer follow-up questions, and correct the assistant when necessary.
- Rate the interaction and the final deliverable.
- Write brief notes on what went well or where the assistant fell short.
Who They're Looking For
- People who already use AI chat assistants for everyday personal or work-related questions.
- Applicants who can write clearly in English.
- Candidates who use AI assistants at least occasionally.
- No minimum years of experience are required.
Contract and Payment Terms
- This is a fully remote independent contractor role.
- Work can be completed on your own schedule.
- Projects may be extended, shortened, or ended early depending on needs and performance.
- Payments are made weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
- The role is not open to H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time.
