Overview
micro1 is selecting Sociology Teachers, Postsecondarys for an education-focused project that helps train next-generation AI systems. This is a remote contractor role with 50 openings. The work relies on your sociology expertise rather than prior AI experience.
What You'll Do
- Design assessment tasks based on sociological concepts that are clear, measurable, and usable by third-party educators.
- Create rubrics that align closely with each task and use established pedagogical frameworks, including Bloom's taxonomy.
- Review educational materials and provide detailed, actionable feedback to improve clarity, rigor, and authenticity.
- Synthesize sociological literature and research to support task and rubric development and maintain academic integrity.
- Document the rationale and criteria for each assessment and rubric so they can be applied consistently across educational contexts.
- Collaborate asynchronously with other domain experts and project stakeholders through strong written and verbal communication.
- Iterate on materials based on peer and project feedback.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or ABD in Sociology or a closely related field.
- Active teaching and research or publication experience at the postsecondary level.
- Experience creating high-quality assessment tasks and rubrics in professional practice.
- Strong understanding of pedagogical principles, including Bloom's taxonomy and related assessment frameworks.
- Ability to distill complex sociological theories into clear, actionable educational content.
- Ability to give constructive, objective feedback on peer work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with a focus on clarity and academic rigor.
