About the Role
Feather is looking for contributors for a remote first-person video data collection project supporting the development of AI and robotics systems.
Contributors record themselves completing real-world activities from a first-person perspective while continuously narrating what they are doing. This is a practical data collection role and does not require traditional data annotation experience.
What You'll Do
- Record real-world tasks from your point of view using your smartphone.
- Narrate your actions clearly in English or Spanish while completing each task.
- Record videos in landscape orientation.
- Complete available activities across different task categories.
- Follow the recording and submission guidelines carefully.
- Submit recordings for review and approval.
Depending on the available categories, activities may include everyday hands-on tasks such as grooming, makeup, hair-related activities, and other real-world tasks.
Video Requirements
- Videos are generally 5–20 minutes long.
- Recordings must be in landscape mode.
- Your phone must support at least 1080p resolution and 30 FPS.
- Additional device requirements may apply, so contributors should confirm their device is compatible before starting.
Compensation
Base compensation is $6 per approved hour, with additional daily bonuses based on approved hours:
- 1 hour → +$5 bonus
- 3 hours → +$10 bonus
- 5 hours → +$15 bonus
For example, 5 approved hours would equal $30 base pay + $15 bonus = $45.
Bonus eligibility and payment are subject to the project's approval requirements.
