Role Overview

Stellar AI is seeking Machine Learning Software Engineers to create training data for AI coding agents working on machine learning tasks.

This is an open-ended, project-based contract with no set schedule or minimum work requirement. A Guaranteed Hours option is also available, providing at least 20 hours per week for 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Create tasks for AI agents to solve machine learning problems.

• Analyze AI agent behavior and identify failures and performance issues.

• Document methodologies and findings clearly and systematically.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field.

• At least 4 years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years focused on machine learning.

• Proficiency in Python and at least one of PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.

• Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including optimization, model architectures, and evaluation.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• Kaggle experience is a plus.

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $80–$200/hr.

• Qualification Rate: $80–$120/hr, depending on the role.

• Guaranteed Hours: Option for a 20-hour-per-week contract for 6 months.
