Job Description
Mercor is hiring Quality Analysts on a remote contract basis to help maintain the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data and project outputs.
You’ll review completed work against established guidelines and rubrics, identify quality issues, provide structured feedback, and help improve evaluation processes across projects.
What You’ll Do
Review work outputs against defined quality standards, rubrics, and guidelines.
Identify errors, inconsistencies, omissions, and other quality issues.
Clearly document problems found during reviews.
Provide structured and actionable feedback to contributors and stakeholders.
Track quality metrics and identify recurring problems or trends.
Help improve quality processes, evaluation criteria, and checklists.
Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team across different time zones.
Requirements
Previous experience in quality assurance, quality control, or another review-focused role.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify subtle errors.
Strong written communication skills.
Ability to provide clear and constructive feedback.
Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving project standards.
Reliable internet connection.
Quiet and focused remote working environment.
Nice to Have
Experience with data annotation, content review, or evaluation workflows.
Previous experience working with distributed or remote teams.
Technical, editorial, analytical, or another relevant professional background.
Schedule
This is a fully remote opportunity that can be completed on your own schedule.
Project length may vary, and engagements may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on project requirements and performance.
Contract & Payment Details
Independent contractor engagement.
$20–$50 per hour.
Payments are made weekly through Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
Mercor states that the work will not require access to confidential or proprietary information belonging to another employer, client, or institution.
