French Voice Recording - Data Collection

Overview

We’re looking for native French speakers to participate in a short, paid voice recording project through CrowdGen by Appen. This is a remote, project-based independent contractor opportunity. You’ll record scripted conversational speech in French on your smartphone, following provided quality and recording guidelines.

What You'll Do

• Record short, scripted conversational speech in French on your smartphone.
• Follow the project’s quality and recording instructions so your submissions meet acceptance standards.
• Complete assigned sessions and submit qualifying recordings for review.

Requirements

• Native French speaker.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Own a smartphone.

Compensation

• Pay is $1.030 per unit.
• The source estimates this as about $87.55 per hour at 85 units.
• You are paid for completing your full assigned session, with 80% of prompts passing quality review.
• Incomplete sessions are not paid.
• Sessions with a QA acceptance score below 80% are rejected and not paid.
• Recordings are reviewed for native-speaker status, guideline compliance, and signs of borrowed or AI-generated voices before payout.

How to Get Started

1. Apply to the project.
2. If selected, you’ll receive an email from CrowdGen to create your account.
3. Log in, reset your password, and complete the onboarding requirements.
4. Review the project guidelines and recording requirements.
5. Start participating and submitting qualifying recordings.
