Job Description
micro1 is hiring 101 Developmental Psychology Experts for a remote project at the intersection of psychology and AI.
The opportunity is particularly suited to professionals with an academic or research background in child development or developmental psychology, whether or not they have direct clinical experience.
You’ll apply your expertise to evaluate training data and AI outputs, develop scenarios and guidelines, and help ensure AI systems appropriately reflect established developmental psychology principles.
No prior AI experience is required.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate, review, and annotate datasets related to child development and developmental psychology.
- Assess AI outputs for accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and developmental relevance.
- Provide expert feedback and recommendations to improve model performance.
- Contribute expertise to the development of scenarios, test cases, and realistic situations involving children's learning and behavior.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support psychologically appropriate AI interactions.
- Help create and refine guidelines addressing linguistic, cognitive, and psychosocial aspects of child development.
- Consider differences across diverse cultural and developmental backgrounds.
- Clearly document findings, analyses, and recommendations to support ongoing AI research.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Child Development, Developmental Psychology, or a closely related field.
- Academic or research experience related to developmental psychology or child development.
- Direct clinical experience is not required.
- Previous involvement in technology, digital, or AI-related projects involving child development is highly desirable.
- Comfortable working independently on digital platforms in a remote environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a distributed team.

Contract & Compensation
This is a remote contractor opportunity with 101 openings.
Compensation is advertised at $100–$200 per hour.
