Job Description
Micro1 is hiring US-based Data-Video Generalists for a remote data collection project involving first-person video recordings of everyday household activities.
You’ll use a compatible smartphone and wearable head strap to record yourself performing normal household tasks from a first-person perspective. Contributors are paid based on the hours of submitted video that meet project guidelines.
What You’ll Do
- Record everyday household tasks using your smartphone.
- Capture first-person video while performing specified physical activities.
- Follow project recording and quality guidelines.
- Complete a device compatibility check during onboarding.
- Complete an AI-enabled interview before starting the project.
- Submit recorded footage for review and approval.
Requirements
- Must live in one of the eligible U.S. states listed above.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Must own a compatible smartphone:
- iPhone 12 or newer
- Google Pixel 6–9
- Samsung Galaxy S21 or newer
- Comfortable using a wearable/head-mounted phone setup.
- Able to safely perform repetitive household activities.
- Strong attention to recording instructions and project requirements.
Equipment
A smartphone and head strap/wearable mount are required to capture the first-person footage.
The project states that contributors can receive a $20 signing bonus/reimbursement after completing 20 hours of work, subject to the project requirements.
Compensation
Pay is $13–$15 per hour of submitted video that meets project guidelines. This is based on qualifying recorded footage rather than simply time spent working.
