Overview
Turing is seeking an experienced US-based dermatologist to evaluate and improve AI-generated medical content in the dermatology domain. The role focuses on reviewing large language model outputs and dermatology images for accuracy, safety, relevance, and clinical usability. This is a remote contractor assignment/freelancer engagement for 12 weeks, with a commitment of at least 4 hours per day and 40 hours per week, including 4 hours of overlap with PST.
What You'll Do
- Review AI-generated medical text for accuracy, harmfulness, and completeness, with a focus on dermatology.
- Evaluate diagnoses, treatment plans, and case summaries for dermatologic content.
- Assess dermatology images using a structured online evaluation tool.
- Review image quality and diagnostic usability, including blur, lighting, exposure, color, and framing.
- When applicable, identify likely skin conditions, assign confidence ratings, and document rationale.
- Provide expert feedback that helps improve the medical integrity and safety of LLM outputs.
- Collaborate with AI researchers and clinicians to align outputs with evidence-based dermatology standards.
Requirements
- Based in the United States.
- Licensed Medical Doctor (MD or MBBS) with specialization in Dermatology or an equivalent qualification.
- Fully licensed and actively practicing medicine in the USA.
- At least 5 years of post-residency experience practicing as a dermatologist.
- Strong visual attention to detail.
- Comfortable reviewing sensitive or graphic medical images.
- Technically comfortable using web-based annotation platforms, image zoom/tools, detailed guidelines, and structured questionnaires.
- Experience in medical content review, clinical research, annotation, or AI/ML evaluation is preferred.
