Investment Banking Associate

Overview

micro1 is seeking Investment Banking Associates for 8 openings on a remote, contractor project supporting a customer’s high-impact AI training work. The role involves using domain expertise in investment banking to help create high-quality input for next-generation AI systems.

Scope of Work

• Evaluate and annotate complex financial materials, transaction documents, and case studies for AI training datasets.
• Draft, review, and edit deliverables such as pitchbooks, valuation models, and market analysis summaries.
• Simulate and document real-world investment scenarios to improve model understanding of industry practices and deal processes.
• Provide detailed written feedback on AI-generated financial content, with an emphasis on precision, relevance, and professionalism.
• Curate and synthesize financial data to support scenario creation and decision-making exercises.
• Identify and communicate nuanced industry concepts and terminology relevant to investment banking workflows.
• Collaborate virtually with project coordinators to keep deliverables aligned with project guidelines and client expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or recent experience as an Investment Banking Associate, Investment Banking Analyst (2nd year+), or a similar role in Sales & Trading.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, valuation, and deal execution.
• Ability to interpret financial statements, transaction documents, and market data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and detail.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to give constructive, actionable feedback on complex materials.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables within project milestones.
• Familiarity with industry documentation, regulatory considerations, and deal structuring nuances.
