  • Rate color palette effectiveness, including harmony, contrast, and accessibility.
  • Score overall design effectiveness and professional polish using consistent 1-5 scales.
  • Apply established rubrics objectively across a large volume of examples.
  • Participate in weekly calibration sessions and maintain rating consistency.
  • Flag unclear or borderline cases and communicate questions clearly when needed.

Requirements

  • Formal training in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field, or 2-3 years of professional graphic design experience.
  • Strong understanding of design principles such as composition, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to objectively evaluate design work against industry standards.
  • Experience reviewing design work or giving design feedback.
  • Strong visual discrimination and consistent aesthetic judgment.
  • Ability to stay focused and accurate during repetitive tasks.
  • Comfort working independently with minimal variation in judgment.
  • Availability for at least 10 hours per week for 3 months or more.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Portfolio that shows a broad range of design work and critical thinking.
  • Experience as a design reviewer, art director, or quality assurance contributor.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG and inclusive design principles.
  • Exposure to branding, editorial, digital, or UX/UI design contexts.
  • Experience teaching or mentoring design concepts.
  • Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, or similar design tools.
  • Prior experience in data annotation, content moderation, or quality evaluation.
  • Exposure to machine learning or computer vision concepts.
