About this opportunity
Overview
Rex is looking for electrical engineering experts to help train and evaluate AI models. The work focuses on creating realistic technical problems with reference answers, writing grading rubrics, and comparing model responses for correctness and quality. Your professional judgment will be used to set the standard for how AI systems are evaluated.
What You'll Do
- Design realistic electrical engineering problems and provide complete reference answers.
- Create grading rubrics that distinguish professional engineering judgment from simple textbook recall.
- Compare AI-generated calculations, designs, and specifications head-to-head, then explain which response is stronger and why.
- Review tasks and answers across areas such as circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, control systems, and RF.
- Check responses against applicable standards and codes when relevant.
- Document reasoning errors in model outputs and suggest improved answers.
- Follow project guidelines, participate in calibration and review sessions, and apply feedback to maintain consistent quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, plus either a Master’s or PhD, or at least 4 years of professional experience.
- Solid design or analysis experience in your area of specialization.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
- Working knowledge of simulation tools such as SPICE or MATLAB.
- Strong written English skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and stay reliable and detail-oriented in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Industry design experience in power, embedded, or RF systems.
- Experience writing rubrics or training materials.
Legal and Compliance
- All submitted content must be lawful and you must have the right to share it.
- Do not submit confidential, proprietary, or personal data without a lawful basis.
- Rex may verify identity, credentials, ownership, and licensing, and may reject or remove submissions.
