Overview
micro1 is seeking seasoned in-house transactional attorneys for a part-time contractor role focused on legal AI. This opportunity is geared toward experienced lawyers who want to help shape how advanced AI is trained, evaluated, and applied to real-world legal work, especially contract drafting, review, negotiation, and redlining in the technology sector.
The work is task-based. Experts are paid per completed task that meets project specifications, and the average handling time is approximately 3.5 hours per task. The effective hourly rate will depend on the number of tasks completed and successfully signed off.
What You'll Do
- Run simulated contract negotiation and redlining exercises.
- Review AI responses to contract scenarios and provide expert feedback to improve performance and precision.
- Create objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for contract-related AI tasks.
- Work with product and research teams to refine data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review solutions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of in-house experience focused on technology transactions.
- Experience negotiating MSAs, NDAs, ISDA agreements, and derivatives matters.
- Strong contract drafting, review, negotiation, and redlining skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical ability and the capacity to turn legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems.
- Comfort working with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior exposure to AI, legal tech, or training initiatives.
- Experience at a corporate law firm in M&A or fund formation for private equity firms.
