About this opportunity
Overview
Anyone AI is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer for its Human Data division to build and operate the platform behind RL, coding, STEM, and related evaluation work. The role focuses on end-to-end platform development, including evaluation environments, project pipelines and taxonomies, and the operational/admin surface that supports payments, task review, roles, and revenue/cost visibility. This is a high-autonomy role where you are expected to lead the platform initiative and make strong product and engineering decisions with limited hand-holding.
Responsibilities
- Design, launch, and harden evaluation environments for RL, coding, STEM, and other assessment workflows so they are reliable, repeatable, and aligned with lab-quality expectations.
- Own the platform logic for how projects move from brief to tasks, QC, and delivery, and help keep project taxonomies coherent as the business adds domains and clients.
- Build and support internal operations tooling such as payments and payouts, task approve/reject flows, role-based access control, role management, and visibility into revenue and cost by project.
- Set technical direction for the platform, decide priorities across environment work, pipeline work, and admin issues, and improve the system’s instrumentation and operability.
Experience and Qualifications
- Senior-level software engineering experience, with at least 4+ years or equivalent ownership, in backend or full-stack development.
- Experience owning or deeply operating a multi-sided platform with operators, contributors, and internal stakeholders.
- Background in human data, RLHF, labeling, or model evaluation, or close adjacent work such as RL/eval harnesses or annotation pipelines.
- Experience shipping admin or back-office workflows such as approvals, permissions, payments/payouts, and operational metrics.
- History of leading technical initiatives in ambiguous environments, especially on small teams.
- Working fluency with how human-data and evaluation workflows run in practice, including tasks, QC, environments, and expert workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with environment orchestration such as containers, workers, or sandboxes.
- Familiarity with modern web and data stacks.
- Prior experience at or near platforms such as Scale AI, Surge, Handshake AI, or Labelbox.
- Fluent English; Spanish is a nice-to-have.
