Overview
Remoat Teams is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer for a remote role focused on building the web and API layer used by financial teams to turn audio into decisions. The work centers on transcription infrastructure for banks, brokerages, and asset managers, where latency, accuracy, and auditability are especially important.
The Singapore office leads product engineering across customer-facing applications and the APIs built on top of the transcription core. This is a small-team environment with direct ownership and a short path from code commit to production.
What You'll Do
- Build features end-to-end across React/Next.js front ends and Node.js/TypeScript services.
- Design and maintain REST APIs that expose transcription, search, and export functionality to client apps and integrations.
- Work with relational and document data models, tune slow query paths, and own schema migrations.
- Deploy and operate services on the company cloud platform, including CI/CD, observability, and on-call rotations.
- Review code, uphold test coverage on critical paths, and mentor mid-level engineers.
- Collaborate with product and client engineering to scope work, estimate effort, and remove delivery blockers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production full-stack web applications.
- Strong experience with React/Next.js on the front end and Node.js/TypeScript on the back end.
- Hands-on experience designing REST APIs and working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Comfort deploying to a major cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure with Git-based CI/CD.
- Proven ability to debug production issues across the stack and write maintainable, tested code.
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, regtech, or other regulated or data-sensitive domains.
- Exposure to audio, streaming, or ML-adjacent systems.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience such as Terraform or Pulumi, or experience with container orchestration.
