Polish Language Subject Matter Expert – AI Audio Transcription

Overview

Alignerr is seeking a Polish Language Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support an AI audio transcription project. This is an hourly contract role that is fully remote and flexible. The source notes that the opportunity is intended for native Polish speakers living in Germany.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support a team of Polish-specific labelers and reviewers throughout the project.
• Act as the main language and project SME for transcription, labeling, and language-specific questions.
• Help maintain accuracy, consistency, and quality across all project outputs.
• Monitor team performance and look for recurring issues, trends, or areas where additional guidance is needed.
• Review work regularly and provide clear, actionable feedback.
• Handle project communication and questions through Discord.
• Host office hours to answer questions, clarify guidelines, and support the team.
• Identify ambiguities or gaps in project guidelines and escalate issues when needed.
• Take part in team meetings, calibration sessions, and project discussions.
• Support alignment between labelers and reviewers so guidelines are applied consistently.
• Share project updates, changes, and quality expectations with the assigned language team.
• Work with Project Operators and Project Managers to address quality, workflow, and performance concerns.

Requirements

• Native proficiency in Polish.
• Strong command of Polish grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, regional or dialectal variation, and natural spoken usage.
• Experience with audio transcription, data labeling, linguistic annotation, quality assurance, or AI/ML data work is preferred.
• Strong eye for detail and ability to catch subtle linguistic, transcription, or labeling errors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Polish.
• Experience giving feedback, coaching, or leading teams is preferred.
• Comfort working independently and managing multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with Discord or similar collaboration tools.

Nice to Have

• Background in linguistics, translation, localization, or language education.
• Experience with AI training data pipelines or annotation platforms.
• Familiarity with regional Polish speech patterns and dialectal variation.
• Prior quality assurance or remote team leadership experience.
