Overview
Rex is recruiting participants for a paid voice recording project focused on natural English conversations. Participants will be matched with another person and complete guided, role-based discussions based on everyday scenarios. The task is conversational rather than scripted reading, and no acting or voice-over background is required.
What You'll Do
- Complete guided conversation tasks with an assigned partner.
- Follow a short role brief before each session describing your role, the situation, and your conversation goals.
- Speak naturally and respond in real time as you work through the scenario.
- Record online through Riverside from a quiet, private room.
- Attend paired sessions that are scheduled in advance.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Comfortable speaking English in a natural conversation.
- Comfortable having your voice recorded.
- Must use a laptop or desktop computer for all recording sessions.
- Must use headphones during recording sessions.
- Stable internet connection required.
- Must record from a quiet, private indoor room.
- Must be able to remain in that room without interruptions for at least 30 minutes.
- Must be able to attend scheduled recording sessions with another participant.
- Phones and tablets cannot be used for recording.
