Overview
OneForma is accepting applications for a remote multilingual OCR annotation project focused on helping improve AI text-recognition systems. Contributors will work on images containing text, identify and organize text into semantic lines, and transcribe the content accurately. The project is expected to last approximately 2–3 months, with work available during the project period depending on project needs and task availability.
What You'll Do
- Review images and determine whether they meet the project’s annotation conditions.
- Identify text in images and draw bounding boxes around semantic text lines.
- Transcribe the text contained in each annotated area with high accuracy.
- Apply required flags according to the project guidelines.
- Follow detailed annotation instructions to keep output consistent and high quality.
- Mark content appropriately when it cannot be confidently annotated instead of guessing.
Requirements
- Native-level fluency in one of the eligible languages for the target country.
- Residence in the corresponding target country for the language you apply with.
- Strong reading and writing skills in your selected language.
- Excellent accuracy and careful attention to detail.
- Ability to follow detailed written instructions consistently.
- Access to a computer with a stable internet connection.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Previous experience with annotation, transcription, OCR, proofreading, or similar language-focused work is a plus.
