English to French Linguist & Copy Editor for Product, Marketing & UI Content

Overview

Welo Data is seeking experienced French linguists and copy editors for a long-term freelance project supporting a leading multinational company. This is a remote opportunity with ongoing work, and agencies are welcome to apply.

Project Details

• Work arrangement: Remote
• Expected volume: 5,000+ words per week
• Employment type: Freelance / independent contract
• Task type: Translation, copy-editing, and MTPE
• Content types: Marketing, UI, product, support, informational, and legal content
• CAT tool: Client-specific CAT tool; training is provided during onboarding

Requirements

• Native or near-native French with excellent English proficiency
• 2+ years of professional translation experience plus a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field, or 5+ years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree
• Proven experience translating English into French across informational, marketing, UI, product, and support content
• Experience using CAT tools
• Ability to deliver high-quality work on deadline in a fast-paced localization environment
• Strong communication, responsiveness, reliability, and openness to feedback and revisions
