Overview
iMerit is hiring an Independent Contractor (Scholar) for an English Language Expert role supporting multilingual AI data annotation and transcription work in Singapore. The role is focused on helping AI/ML projects by producing accurate, consistent English-language outputs for training and evaluation workflows.
What You'll Do
- Transcribe English audio recordings into accurate English text.
- Review, correct, and validate English image and text content.
- Write clear English descriptions and annotations based on visual content.
- Follow detailed task instructions for transcription and annotation work.
- Proofread outputs to maintain strong linguistic and contextual accuracy.
- Work toward daily productivity and quality benchmarks.
Requirements
- English proficiency at B2 level or above; advanced C1/C2 proficiency is noted as required for reading, writing, and comprehension.
- Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.
- Ability to interpret visual content and describe it accurately in English.
- Prior experience in transcription, annotation, or linguistic tasks is preferred.
- Access to a laptop or desktop and a stable internet connection.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
