Egocentric Video Data Collector – Insta360 X5 | Singapore

Job Description

Participants in Singapore are being recruited for a paid egocentric video data collection project focused on capturing authentic everyday activities from a first-person perspective.

You’ll wear a head-mounted Insta360 X5 and record short “Day in a Life” video sessions while naturally performing everyday activities.

This is not acting or scripted filming. Recordings should show realistic activities performed as you would normally do them in daily life.

Example Activities

Recording sessions may involve:

• Cooking or preparing meals.
• Cleaning and organizing your home.
• Laundry and household tasks.
• Working or studying.
• Shopping and running errands.
• Walking, commuting, or spending time outdoors.
• Gardening or yard work.
• Creative activities such as drawing or playing music.
• Pet care and other everyday routines.

What You’ll Do

• Record approximately 10-minute continuous first-person videos.
• Use a head-mounted Insta360 X5 for recordings.
• Perform assigned everyday activities naturally without scripted performances.
• Follow camera setup and recording instructions.
• Record in eligible residential, outdoor, and, where appropriate, commercial environments.
• Provide basic information about each recording, including the activity performed and recording environment.
• Follow all privacy, consent, and data collection requirements.
• Complete required training and sample recordings before beginning full production.

Requirements

• Must have an Insta360 X5.
• Must be available to participate in Singapore.
• Comfortable recording everyday activities from a first-person perspective.
• Ability to follow camera setup and recording instructions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to comply with privacy, consent, and data collection requirements.
• Willingness to complete training and sample recordings before beginning full production.

Equipment Requirement

An Insta360 X5 is required for this project. Participants will use the camera in a head-mounted setup to capture first-person footage.

Contract & Compensation

This is a paid, flexible, project-based opportunity in Singapore.

Compensation is advertised at $120 per hour.
